On the account of these things, Caesar decided to send the envoys to Ariovistus, who demanded him that he choose the midway between the two other places for the conference. He said that they wish to discuss about Republic and the affairs of the utmost importance to both. Ariovistus responded to the song envoy: "If there was business by me from Caesar, I had came to him. If he wishes anything from me, it is fitting for him to come to me. I am not to come to Gaul with army which Caesar possess, nor I am able to collect the army, into one place without great supplies and difficulty." And moment (?) "However it seems strange to me what business there maybe in any Gaul which I conquered in war that Caesar wants."
