He led together all the retainers and debtors, whom he had a great number. through them he fled and did not plead his case. Since the excited state attempted to establish justice through this affair by arms and magistrates, gathered a crowd of men out of fields, Oregtorix died. the Helvetians thought that Oregetorix himself had decreed death for himself.
